I have been working since a small boy with all sorts of mediums to create my pictures and I have been painting with pixels since 1989. Computer generated art has intrigued me, as it has evolved into an art form of its own. Just as realistic painting evolved into varieties of more impressionistic styles, photography has developed, into computer enhanced graphic art that can do more than merely reproduce the beauty of our world. We are now able to create new landscapes outside of our everyday experiences. As a computer artist, I, use imagination, emotion and technology,To create my works they are direct expresions of my thaughts a sort of visual poetry i call it "PIXALISM"

New Coffin Art

Phill has just started making
and exhibiting printed coffins.

This may be macabre for some
people but he is trying to make
death and its associations less
of a taboo.

He says live with your coffin
before you die and enjoy a
different sort of interior art.

Welcome i am PHILL and this is a glimpse into the world of my Art.

In these times where values are changing, so the idea of a computer being used as an artists tool is gaining respect.
Most people have the idea that there is no hand work in computer aided design,but I tend to disagree.If I were to
try to paint one of my pictures it could take a great deal of time,even years to create the complex layers that i need
to mix and match to achieve the subtle tones and colors.

I respect hand work and I try to recreate the feel of paint,with my style of working but my quest (and frustration) of using pixels and the computer as an artistic tool is the
ever changing and moving of technology.To discover new brush strokes on a computer depends on the software, but finding combinations of software together with my way of manipulating an image for me is part of a new renaissance, a coming together of science,technology and art. This inspires me and makes me proud to be one of the pioneers in this field.
This site will give you some of my history and the why’s and wherefore's … but most importantly there are lots of pictures for you to see,
so please be patient if they take a while to download, some things are worth waiting for ..
And who knows maybe you will become an owner of one of my works?
